High school students Rakurou Hizutome have a strange hobby of playing poorly -made games – which are imbalanced or full of insects that make them borderable. Those who share their hobbies can identify them with their in-game name, Sanraku. For his next game, Rakurou is recommended to the Shangri-La Frontier, a popular and well-obtained virtual reality game that was recently played.

Once he boots the game, Rakurau decides to sell most of his early gears to get extra money, leaving himself with boxers, a bird mask and some weapons.
